Thanks to all for your great support of Stanford Football
By Pep Hamilton January 29, 2013, 11:04 pmFirst off, my family and I would like to thank the Stanford community. Stanford will always hold a special place in our hearts. There is simply no other place like it in the country and we are extremely grateful for having had the opportunity to spend three years here. It was a true thrill and joy to accomplish as much as we did as a program.
Of all the opportunities that I've had, I've never worked at such a special place. I want to offer my sincere thanks to our great supporters like the Buck/Cardinal Club and everyone who goes above and beyond to make sure the resources are in place for the football team to be successful.
As the former Andrew Luck Director of Offense / Offensive Coordinator, there’s a genuine excitement, not only to be reunited with Andrew, Coby Fleener, and Griff Whalen at the Indianapolis Colts, but also because I believe it will be a seamless transition. It’s exciting to say the least. It is just an honor to rejoin Andrew and try to help him take that next step in his pro career.
Being a part of the journey of some of these kids was more fulfilling than the actual post-game celebration itself. Just having the opportunity to watch someone like Zach Ertz evolve year to year and get to the point where he was probably the best tight end in the country. The same with Drew Terrell. Just watching those kids realize their dreams was a lot more fulfilling for me than the actual process of being a part of big games.
Thanks again to the coaches, players, staff, donors and fans. I’ll be rooting for you.
GO CARDINAL!
